Aura

Recruitment is Aura's work at the Church of Gibborim, the Los Angeles religion led by Leslie Dean. She and her colleague Frances take a Church van out through the city watching for teenagers with nowhere to sleep, and they make the same offer every time: a bed, a meal, and a place in the congregation. Both women carry a taser gun for the rougher corners of the job, and each wears the bracelet that marks Church membership. At the Church of Gibborim Executive Office they walk new arrivals through their intake forms and report back to Dean on what they have found on the street.
