Adam Warlock is a Sovereign, an artificial being grown by Ayesha inside an advanced birth pod and designed as the perfect weapon against the Guardians of the Galaxy. Ayesha names him Adam while he is still developing in the pod, and he is woken early from his cocoon by the High Evolutionary, who sends him after Rocket. Taking the title of the Warlock, he flies unaided through space and is strong enough to tear through the hull of a ship.
