Urko Crust

Urko Crust is a Napan admiral of the Malazan navy and one of the Emperor's Old Guard, named in Deadhouse Gates. He came into imperial service alongside his brother Cartheron and the Napan Surly, and he and Cartheron both rose to admiral, as did Nok.

He is a huge man, his skin so dark it seems black, heavily muscled, his arms and shoulders and torso like taut ropes, his mostly bald head mottled with scars and his beard thick and shot with grey. His reputation rests on raw strength. He can shatter a skull with the heel of his hand and often fights with no weapon at all, and the Moranth call him Shatterer for crushing a warrior's torso armour in a bear hug. He and his brother both leave imperial service after the assassination of Kellanved and Dancer, in circumstances other soldiers still argue over.
