T'iam

Mother of all dragons and an Elder Goddess of the Eleint, T'iam is named in several tongues as Tiam, Tiama, T'matha and Tiamatha. Olar Ethil holds that she spawned every dragon there is. Her blood is Chaos, and it was by drinking that blood that certain Tiste first became Soletaken, in a working that also required her to mate with a Tiste male; the female Soletaken made that way called themselves her daughters. She is said to have taken Scabandari Bloodeye, and of that union came Sheltatha Lore, and to have taken Osserc, and of that union came Menandore and Sukul Ankhadu. Sukul speaks of her with venom, as a she-nightmare and a whore who sailed out on feathered wings from the dark of another realm. Osserc, for his part, calls the Soletaken an extended family whose most cherished trait is treachery.
