The Three
The Three are the rulers of a land lying southwest of Nemil, said to have held power there for a thousand years, trading with no one and despising outsiders.
A Malazan Fist born in Shal-Morzinn swears by them and warns that anyone who crosses them should not expect a long life. She fled her homeland in haste and counts herself lucky they never came after her, adding with a laugh that the Malazans had the sense never to return after one visit. When the Malazan fleet plans its passage, the Destriant Run'Thurvian warns that the Three will bar the way simply because it pleases them, at a cost that could ruin the fleet.
