A former Dal Hon herder turned heavy recruit in the 17th Squad of the Malazan Fourth Army, enlisted to test himself.
Suthahl 'Ani, called Suth, is a heavy recruit in the 17th Squad, 4th Company, 2nd Division of the Malazan Fourth Army. He was a herder in Dal Hon before that, and he walked to a recruiting station north of the Dal Hon lands for the plainest of reasons: he wanted to know how he measured against everyone else.
