Storo Matash is the field-promoted captain of the 11th saboteur squad in the 7th Army's 4th Division, a company posted to Li Heng and attached there to the 4th Army Central Command. He is a Falaran, born on the island of Strike, and his father was among the first Falarans to sign on with Urko Crust's fleet, in the years before the invasions. Balding above a stubbled pate, jowled and sallow, with beefy shoulders, he goes about in a stained loose jerkin and carries a two-handed cutlass. He is also thoroughly educated, a thing he rarely troubles to display, and can produce a level of rhetoric that startles men who believe they have his measure.
