Shortnose
A heavy infantryman of the Malaz 14th Army, named for the clipped tip of his nose, with hands the size of shovels and a snore his squadmates have learned to sleep through.
The tip of his nose was cut off at some point in the past, which is presumably where the name comes from. Shortnose is a mean-looking heavy infantryman with huge hands and a snore loud enough to be a problem for everyone bedded down near him. His squad marches with Adjunct Tavore Paran's punitive expedition against the Army of the Apocalypse, and though the long road from Aren to Raraku gives the heavies no chance to draw a blade in anger, Fiddler takes note of their discipline and thinks well of it.
