Ryllandaras
Ryllandaras is a shapeshifting hunter whom Mappo recalls in the form of D'ivers jackals, dangerous enough that his passing earns a warning even to the bear Soletaken Messremb.
In the desert at night he comes as six tawny wolves with one mind behind them, speaking into the heads of Mappo and Icarium in a voice rough with disuse. Mappo knows him of old and reminds him that his brother Treach believed he had killed him in a chasm in Dal Hon or Li Heng. Once he knows the pair, he declares no quarrel with them and turns his hunt toward a demon on the same trail. Fiddler, who saw it himself, says the Emperor fought both brothers outside Li Heng.
