Redmask

Redmask is an exile of the Awl who has returned to the Awl'dan, his people's traditional homeland, to make war upon the Letherii. The name comes from the full-face mask of red scales with black-rimmed eye slits that he never removes. He is short, lithe and wiry, and wears a scaled hauberk under a rodara wool shirt and a rough-woven hooded cloak. He is a master of the old Awl weapons, the cadaran whip and the rygtha crescent axe, brutal enough with them to face twenty opponents at once, and a skilled rider besides. He knows the politics of the Awl'dan and the individual legions of the Letherii army equally well, and he takes plain satisfaction in being the hand of Awl vengeance.
