Raest is a Jaghut Tyrant, sealed for an age in a barrow beneath the Gadrobi Hills outside Darujhistan by his own kind, who judged his tyranny over the mortal Imass intolerable. He is gaunt and all but fleshless, his ribs broken and jutting, strips of flayed green skin and muscle hanging in ribbons from his arms. His eyes are pits, his broad slash of a mouth hints at up-thrust tusks, and he drags his bare feet as though the bones inside them grind. He wears black leather and tattered banded iron over half-rotted moccasins.
