Quon Tali is the home continent of the Malazan Empire, holding the capital Unta, the old cities of the Trunk Road, and provinces and plains peoples gathered by a century of conquest.
Quon Tali is the heartland continent of the Malazan Empire. The imperial capital of Unta stands on its eastern coast, and the ancient Trunk Road crosses the continent's midsection to link Unta with the cities of Li Heng and Quon Tali city in the west. Its lands hold the Wickan plains, the Seti grasslands, and the jungles and savannas of Dal Hon, peoples and provinces gathered by conquest; Itko Kan, once an independent country with its own banner, has been under Malazan rule for roughly a century. Off the southeastern coast lie the islands of Malaz, Nap, Kartool, and Geni, and it was from Malaz Island that the empire first rose.
