Amby and Jula Bole go everywhere she goes, rivals for her affection, and she knows exactly what effect she has on the pair and plays one against the other to keep it that way. In Darujhistan she signs on with the Trygalle Trade Guild on a whim, and the brothers sign on after her rather than be left behind; along with a newcomer named Gruntle they are put on the crew of Master Quell, whose first task is to carry Mappo Runt from Darujhistan across to Lether. Faint, an old hand among the shareholders, thinks her handling of the two men cruel beyond all reason.
