Onos T'oolan

Onos T'oolan, called Tool, is a T'lan Imass warrior. He is more than three hundred thousand years old, one of the deathless undead of the Ritual of Tellann, a massive, squat figure of leathery skin, torn muscle, and exposed bone who carries a long sword worked from a single shard of flint, proof against sorcery and otataral alike. He names himself clanless, the last of the Tarad clan, and among the T'lan Imass serving the Malazan Empire he is judged expendable, which is why he walks Genabackis as escort to Adjunct Lorn on an imperial errand into the wilds. He first appears bursting out of the earth on the Rhivi Plain to defend the Adjunct's party from Barghast attackers, his voice described as born of stones and dust.
