He is a captain in the Talian League and a Malazan veteran of the Genabackis Campaign, armoured in studded leather with a long mailed skirt and a blackened iron helmet, and he fights with twin ivory-gripped sabres. In the League he serves as aide to Toc the Elder, carrying orders and taking on the errands his commander wants handled personally: he seeks out the Seti prophet Wildman to take the measure of the man's intentions, and he helps arrange a meeting between the League and the Crimson Guard.
