Moak

Moak is a sergeant of medium infantry in the 11th squad of the 9th Company, part of the 8th Legion of the Malaz 14th Army. He is Falari, copper haired and bearded. A lance once opened his back from shoulders to tailbone, and for all the healer's work the muscles knitted badly and trouble him still. He has a reputation for knowing things he has no business knowing, and he is mostly right, though he shares what he knows only with Tugg and Sobelone. He holds that a real soldier ought to manage a bit of spoiled meat in his food, and he keeps a fish spine in his belt pouch for picking his overlarge teeth.
