Minala Eltroeb is the wife of Colonel Tras, who commands the Malazan garrison at Orbal in Seven Cities. She comes from Quon, and her sister Selv is married to Captain Keneb, another officer posted to the same garrison. Tras is a violent husband who beats her often enough to break bones, then has the garrison healer put her back together. She is attractive and medium boned, with iron-streaked hair and startling grey eyes, and she rides extremely well.
