Master Quell is a navigator, sorcerer, and merchant of the Trygalle Trade Guild, working out of its Darujhistan office. On the Guild's perilous runs the shareholders ride clinging to the outside of the carriage while Quell keeps to the relative safety of the interior. He knows a great deal more about important figures and world events than most men do, and he stocks his caravans with healing elixirs, unguents, and salves, some of them High Denul, against emergencies. Kidney stones plague him, and leave him needing to relieve himself at the worst possible moments.
