The Malazan world stretches from Malaz Island and the imperial capital Unta to Quon Tali, the Seven Cities subcontinent, the continent of Genabackis and Korel, south of Malaz.
Its distances are vast. A Malazan army on Genabackis lies some three thousand leagues from the clerks in Unta who strike its losses from the lists, and on Malaz Island a merchant's son already carries news from Seven Cities, as far again across the world. Its years are counted both by Burn's Sleep and by the age of the Malazan Empire.
How far into Malazan have you read?
