The Khundryl are a fierce warrior people of the odhans of Seven Cities, unusually pale-skinned by the standards of that continent. They live in yurts, hunt bhederin and boar, and drink a fermented milk called urtathan. They ride ponies and horses, though they came to the practice late. Their war chiefs wear a strange greyish armour that looks almost reptilian beneath skins, furs and fetishes, and carry tulwars; long moustaches, knotted beards and spiked braids leave little of their angular, sun-darkened faces showing.
