Jula Bole
One of the two Bole brothers, a retired High Marshal of the Mott Irregulars who signed on with the Trygalle Trade Guild to keep his rival brother from having Precious Thimble to himself.
Jula Bole and his brother Amby are so alike, in face and in voice and even in the way they walk, that telling them apart is largely a matter of who is speaking. Both are High Marshals of the Mott Irregulars, retired and barely out of their teens, and both are in love with the swamp witch Precious Thimble, who served with them in the Genabackis Campaign and keeps the rivalry alive because it suits her. When Precious signs on with the Trygalle Trade Guild in Darujhistan on a whim, Jula signs on too rather than let his brother have her to himself. On their first crossing, with the carriage overrun in Hood's realm, Amby goes over the side and is saved only by the tether he had tied to his own foot, which Jula hauls in; told he cannot believe he bothered, Amby cheerfully agrees he would not have done the same.
