Warchief of the Senan clan of the White Face Barghast and father of ten, Humbrall Taur carries a spiked mace as his badge of rank, though his own son says it is the warchief's intelligence that other Barghast fear.
Humbrall Taur is the warchief of the Senan clan of the White Face Barghast and the father of ten children, among them Hetan, Cafal, and Netok. Captain Paran takes him for a huge and bestial figure, hung about with the withered skins of human heads and armoured in a hauberk of overlapping coins, his eyes small and flat. He carries a spiked mace as both weapon and badge of rank. His son Cafal says the warchief can crush a man's chest in an embrace, fight with a hook-sword in either hand, and cut down ten warriors in the space of seconds, and insists all the same that it is his mind the Barghast fear most, a mind Hetan has inherited.
