Hanut Orr
A duellist of House Orr on the Noble Council of Darujhistan, nephew of Turban Orr, vain and dangerous with women, and keeper of a private list of his family's suspected enemies.
Smooth-shaven and long-fingered, Hanut Orr sits on the Noble Council of Darujhistan and counts himself, with Shardan Lim and Gorlas Vidikas, among the Council's new breed. All three are duellists and all three are arrogant about it. Challice calls him the plaything of half the noble women in the city, crediting him with a dangerous charm and a dominating arrogance that works on women who ought to know better, and he takes particular pleasure in seeing his lovers come to him on their knees. Older councillors have taken the measure of the trio and work to keep them buried in meaningless committees; Estraysian D'Arle privately rates Hanut a preening, fatuous ass, which is to say a true Orr. He keeps a list of the people he suspects of having conspired together against his uncle Turban Orr, against Councilman Lim, and against Lady Simtal.
