Called the City of the Fallen, Hanar Ara is an ancient settlement in the hills of Seven Cities, long abandoned and largely buried under sand, its buildings set hard against a cliff face. The ghosts of the people who once lived there still haunt the ruined houses and streets. The city runs so far back into the mountain that whole tunnels, subterranean avenues and chambers have been forgotten, lightless and lifeless, the air in them befouled. Denet'inar Spring lies somewhere in the hills nearby.
