His speech runs to malapropisms and his idle hours to offbeat wagers with Reccanto Ilk, who complains that the terms are always too vague and want more precision. Ilk has the reputation among the shareholders for poor eyesight, but Glanno's is very likely worse: he keeps it to himself that anything past thirty paces reaches him only as blocks of vague shape. He has a long list of former loves behind him and is certain that one of two women, Sweetest Sufferance or Faint, is the one he is meant to marry.
