Gerun Eberict
A Finadd of the Letherii Palace Guard who holds the King's Leave, Gerun Eberict may break any law but one, and Letheras knows him by his scarred face and the whistle of his breath.
Gerun Eberict is a Finadd in the Letherii Palace Guard and the most feared man in Letheras. His flat, scarred face and thin eyebrows are known to nearly every citizen of the city, and so is the whistle his breath makes through a gap in his front teeth. Four years ago he broke up an attempt on King Ezgara Diskanar's life in the king's private chambers, and one of the assassins' blades cost him that tooth. For the deed the crown granted him the King's Leave, which leaves him free to break any law and commit any crime he pleases so long as it is not against the royal family. He has spent the years since on a private crusade, with at least thirty-one citizens dead by his hand, two of them wealthy and politically powerful merchants, and has made himself rich in the doing.
