Gamet

Gamet is a retired soldier of the Malazan military serving as captain of the guard at House Paran's estates in Unta, a post Ganoes Paran's father hired him into three years ago. He is old and scarred, with watery grey eyes and a full set of white teeth when he grins, and he goes about in much-mended chain mail that ends raggedly at the knees under an uneven pot-helm whose dents have been hammered out and polished bright. Twenty-three years of service lie behind him. He was among the first recruits of the Malaz 4th Army and fought in the original Wickan Wars against Coltaine, and Commander Blistig needs one look to read the veteran in him.
