First Throne
The seat of power of the T'lan Imass, commanding them to whoever sits on it.
The First Throne is the seat of power of the T'lan Imass, named in Gardens of the Moon. Whoever sits on it commands them, and the Logros T'lan Imass carry the duty of guarding it against usurpation. Every T'lan Imass knelt before Emperor Kellanved when he took that seat, which is how the Malazan Empire came to have undying armies at its call.
The Throne itself is described as a petrified monstrosity of bone, standing at the bottom of a crevasse beneath a city on Quon Tali, behind an inner and an outer ward. It once stood in Seven Cities, the homeland of the Imass, and the Logros ordered it moved when the Nameless Ones came too near to finding it. Empress Laseen has never sat on it and does not know where it lies.
