A mage and Avowed of the Crimson Guard's Sixth Blade, hatchet-faced under a thatch of black hair and looking far younger than his century of service, wry about very nearly everything.
Crokus took him for a tall, thin man with a narrow hatchet face, wearing a longcoat of gray and crimson; others describe a skinny youth under an unruly thatch of thick black hair. The youth is appearance only. Fingers has been an Avowed of the Crimson Guard for more than a hundred years, a mage of its Sixth Blade whose Warrens no one has pinned down, though he has shown some command of high Denul. He is wry and sarcastic and gives no sign of taking any situation seriously. In Darujhistan, on the night of the Gedderone Fête, he steps out beside Crokus to make plain that the thief has been under Guard protection all along, naming himself and Corporal Blues and explaining that a third Guardsman, Cowl, is working the rooftops. He passes on the compliments of Prince K'azz D'Avore and of Caladan Brood, remarks that Baruk is a powerful mage, and advises Crokus to be rid of Oponn's Coin before the luck turns.
