Felisin Paran is the youngest of the three children of House Paran of Unta. She is fifteen, the prettier of the two Paran sisters by common account, with black hair, a rounded figure, full lips, a wide smile and dancing eyes.
She is very fond of her brother Ganoes, who serves with the Malazan military and asks after her when he visits the family estate. Her sister Tavore answers that she is at her studies and will be glad to see him, then delivers a verdict that is short and unkind, that Felisin is too soft for this world. Coming from a sister rather than an enemy, it is the sharpest thing said about her under that roof.
