Ezgara Diskanar is the King of Lether, who twelve years past sent his favoured Preda Hull Beddict north as Sentinel to study the wild tribes beyond the borders.
Seren Pedac reflects that Hull knows the king's mind better than most, though the king and the Royal Household do not always want the same thing. From his rooftop, Tehol mocks the domed palace rising at the heart of Letheras, the Eternal Domicile, as a royal conceit seventeen years in the building. Years before, Finadd Gerun Eberict saves the sleeping king from a mage and two assassins and is granted the King's Leave.
