The Errant is an Elder God. The Letherii keep a yearly festival in his honour and describe him as an eternally mysterious purveyor of chance, of circumstance, and of badly chosen impulses. Enclaves among the Imass, the Barghast and the Trell hold their own worship of him.
He carries the title Master of the Holds, the older sorcery that came before the warrens. Patterns are his private obsession, and he regards his command of them as past challenge. In Korel he goes by a blunter name, the Great Deceiver. Where he turns up he tends to arrive uninvited, seat himself as though expected, and put questions whose purpose he keeps to himself.
