The Eres'al, known also as the Eres, the Eres witch, or N'eres, is an Elder Goddess or spirit of the Eres, an ancient people who lived before the Imass. She takes the shape of a tall, lithely muscled woman with wide, full hips and a fine umber pelt, her shaggy hair hanging below her shoulders. Her speech is a glottal tongue of clicks, stops, and loud barking grunts, nothing like the languages of the peoples who came after her own.
