Emancipor Reese

Emancipor Reese, called Mancy, is a manservant out of Lamentable Moll on the island of Theft. He is six or seven decades old, lean to the point of scrawn, sun scoured and age spotted, with grey streaked hair and a moustache.

Before service he sailed, drove a coach and cooked, and he carries the nickname Mancy the Luckless for good reason: he has survived about as many wrecks as ships he has crewed, and every employer of his coaching years died before he did. He calls himself Hood's Herald when the joke suits him. He reads and writes four languages, knows knots, horses and navigation, and keeps a black iron broadsword hanging in the hall of his house.
