Elder

Elder is a gigantic builder of Azath Houses. He stands roughly four storeys tall, with an oddly childlike face, bright yellow skin, emerald eyes, and dagger-like fangs behind a soft child's voice. When he first appears he is a prisoner of the Jaghut Gothos, kept in a hidden, warren-like world of ash and pumice where hostile spirits force him to live within a caldera. There he labors at what he knows: shaping raw stone with bare fists, hammerstones, and leather-wrapped mallets into blocks that fit together like an immense puzzle, raising house after house. Each time a structure nears completion, Gothos appears and pronounces it merely adequate, a verdict the builder despises, and the finished House vanishes from his world.
