Ehrlitan is a white stone city on the northern coast of Seven Cities. A thousand years old, it stands on and around the Jen'rahb, a vast flat topped hill said to hold the compacted ruins of a city nine times that age.
The summit is a wasteland of shattered limestone, brick, sinkholes, standing water and leaning towers, hunted over by lizard eating meer-rats. Below it the Lower City stays crowded and alive, its tortuous tracks barely qualifying as streets, its market district ringed by quiet residential quarters, everything coated red by dust blown off the sandstone hills. Outside the wall south of the harbour sprawls a caravan camp of tents, market tables, wagons, camels and herd dogs.
