Dragnipur is the sword of Anomander Rake, forged in darkness, whose passing sounds like wagon wheels, chains and groaning slaves, for it binds the souls it takes to a world older than light.
The Elder God K'rul names it to Kruppe and warns that it has tasted a demon's soul this very night in Darujhistan, that its thirst soon returns, and that its bearer has allied with the T'orrud Cabal and Master Baruk, the city's secret rulers. To the T'lan Imass Tool it is a weapon from the Age before Light, carried by the Son of Darkness.
