Crokus Younghand

Crokus Younghand is a seventeen year old Daru thief of Darujhistan. Orphaned at four when the Winged Plague took his parents, he grows up in the care of his uncle Mammot, a scholar whose books hold far less appeal for him than the shadows of the streets outside.

He works the rooftops in soot stained cloth wrapped close about his face, leaving only his eyes clear. A black leather harness across his chest carries coils of copper wire, iron files, three saws in oiled parchment, root gum, a lump of tallow and a spool of fishing string, and the tips of his moccasins are soaked in pitch for grip on stone. A thin bladed dagger and a throwing knife ride under his left arm. He learns the trade as an apprentice of Kruppe.
