The Crippled God is a god told of in an ancient tome, called down to the earth long ago, crippled by the descent and chained in its place by the powers of the earth.
Kruppe reads the tale in Mammot's study, picking through faded handwriting. When the god is called down, the God's Fists split many lands apart, and new things come into being or break loose. The list of those gathered on the barren plain where the god lies imprisoned runs so long that Kruppe half expects to find his grandmother among them, though Hood, grey wanderer of Death, is plainly one.
