Cal-Brinn is an Avowed of the Crimson Guard, company mage and captain of its Fourth Company. He draws his power from the warren of Rashan and has a minor talent for Denul besides, and he is counted both one of the strongest mages in the Guard and a fearsome swordsman, fighting with a pair of longswords sheathed at his hips. He is middle-aged and looks older, his very dark skin marking him as of Dal Honese descent, his scarred and wrinkled features drawn and thin, his hair close-cut and kinked. He wears an ankle-length hooded mail coat under a blood-red Guard tabard.
