A convicted murderer set loose by the Tiste Edur invasion, now self-declared ruler of his island prison and a claimant to the Shake throne, quick with languages and quicker with appetite.
Convicted of murder and imprisoned on the island fort he now rules, Brullyg was set loose by the Tiste Edur invasion and has since declared himself master of the place and a claimant to the throne of the Shake. Former inmates Pithy and Brevity style him the Grand Master of the Putative Assembly and note that he is not an easy man to kill. He is clever, and picks up languages with very little effort: Shake, Letherii, Tiste Edur, Fent, the trader's tongue, Meckros and a smattering of Malazan. He is also ruled by his appetite for women, which costs him more judgment than he can spare. He arms himself with a knife and a war-axe. Shurq Elalle, who knew him before any of this, considers him completely mad.
