The Blue Moranth are the seafaring clan of the Moranth, whose trading ships carry travellers from Genabackis to Seven Cities and whose fishers sink nets into deep sea trenches.
The Blue are one of the coloured clans into which the Moranth divide, alongside the Gold, the Black, the Green and the Silver, and Lorn reports trouble at Genabaris with both the Green and Blue clans while the alliance with the Empire stands on shaky ground. When Paran describes a schism among the Moranth that leaves only the Black fighting beside the Malazan host, he notes that the Blue go on sailing their sea-lanes.
