Bauchelain

Bauchelain is a necromancer and conjurer of demons who crosses war-troubled Genabackis by carriage in the company of his silent partner Korbal Broach and their manservant Emancipor Reese. He is tall, gaunt, and courtly, with a pointed salt-and-pepper beard, flat grey eyes, and a wardrobe of fine blacks, and he discusses horrors in the tone of a scholar at his leisure. Conjuring demons, he holds, is the rarest and most difficult discipline among the necromantic arts, and it is his chief delight; he is also an alchemist, a capable swordsman, and a man of impenetrable confidence whose curiosity, by his own admission, often ends regrettably for the one being questioned. His carriage rolls toward the city of Capustan, drawn by his scholarly interest in sieges.
