Amaron

A large Napan man with a deep-blue Napan face, wide around the middle in his later years, Amaron, whose name is also given as Ameron, was one of Emperor Kellanved's companions. Admiral Nok, who knew him from the beginning, reckoned him half-Napan. The two of them crewed a corsair working the sea lanes around the Napan Isles in the years when Unta annexed those islands, and when their ship limped into Malaz City for repairs, the pirate-king Mock seized ship and crew alike. Only Nok, his wife Hawl and Ameron got away. Lying low in the city, they were found by a young Dujek, who brought them to Kellanved, and with a handful of others they helped him take the island. Amaron disappeared after Laseen's seizure of the throne and no body was ever found; the Wickan Bult suggested to Duiker that the old companions had simply walked away from her, Cartharon Crust first, then Urko Crust and Ameron.
