One of Emperor Kellanved's original companions, a wide, deep-blue Napan who helped him take Malaz Island and then vanished after Laseen's seizure of the throne, leaving no body behind.
Admiral Nok, who calls him half-Napan, tells how the two of them escaped with Nok's wife Hawl when the pirate Mock seized their battered corsair in Malaz Harbour, before a lad named Dujek brought the three to Kellanved and Dancer. Before Laseen took the throne she counted Amaron among her close companions, and the Wickan Bult wonders aloud whether such old friends simply walked away from her. Nok holds that he had no share in the betrayal of the Emperor.
