Stone of Annúminas
The Stone of Annuminas was the palantir of the first capital of Arnor, one of the Seeing Stones brought from Numenor, held by law to belong only to the king.
In Annuminas, first capital of Arnor, was kept the palantir of the North Kingdom's kings. Like the other Seeing Stones that the Faithful brought out of the wreck of Numenor, the Stone of Annuminas was placed with care within the realms of the exiled Dunedain as a means of speech between Arnor and Gondor. It was reckoned among the lesser stones, kin in size to those of Orthanc and the cities of Gondor, large enough that no one man could lift it, and in Arnor the law held that the Seeing Stones belonged to the king alone.
