Ring of Barahir
The silver ring Finrod Felagund gave to Barahir for saving his life in the Dagor Bragollach: two serpents with emerald eyes meeting beneath a crown of golden flowers, the badge of the house of Finarfin.
An ornate silver ring that Finrod Felagund gave to Barahir of the House of Beor for saving his life in the Dagor Bragollach, and a token of lasting friendship between them. It is made in the likeness of two serpents whose eyes are emeralds, their heads meeting beneath a crown of golden flowers that the one holds up and the other devours; that device is the badge of Finarfin and his house. The jewels at least were wrought by the Noldor in Valinor, and they seem at times to burn with green fire. No power or magic was ever ascribed to the ring, but it is among the oldest made things in Middle-earth.
