The Pastures of Yavanna lay in the south of Aman, in Valinor. Yavanna, the Vala who has the care of all fruits and growing things in Arda, presided over them, and to the north-east stood the Woods of Oromë. Being wholly in her keeping, the gardens were a lush and beautiful country, for the Valar hold great power over landscape and can shape it into whatever form they wish.
