Ondoher

Ondoher is the thirty-first King of Gondor, of the House of Anárion, who follows his father Calimehtar to the throne in the year 1936 of the Third Age. During his reign the rulers of Gondor and of Arthedain in the north perceive that a single will is directing the attacks upon the exiles of Númenor, and the two kingdoms, long out of touch, renew their contact and make alliance; Ondoher's daughter Fíriel is married to Arvedui, prince of Arthedain. He has two sons, Artamir and Faramir. In 1944 the Wainriders come against Gondor out of the east while the Haradrim come up from the south, and Ondoher leads the main army out toward the Black Gate, holding the centre himself, with Adrahil of Dol Amroth on the left wing and the captain Minohtar on the right.
