Óin was a Dwarf of Durin's Folk and a son of Glóin, who succeeded his father as king in the year 2385 of the Third Age.
Óin was a Dwarf of Durin's Folk, born either in the Ered Mithrin or in the Lonely Mountain, and a son of Glóin. He succeeded his father as king in the year 2385 of the Third Age and reigned in the Grey Mountains for a hundred and three years, a reign that passed without great event. He died in 2488, and his son Náin II took the kingship after him.
