Nauglamír

A carcanet of gold, worked by Dwarves of Belegost in the halls of Menegroth out of a hoard carried into Doriath from the west, the Nauglamír was counted the second treasure of that kingdom and was surpassed by one thing only within it. Later the smiths of Nogrod set a jewel into the gold at Thingol's asking, and the necklace that came off their bench was reckoned the fairest work in all of Arda. It was Dwarf-made and Elf-owned, and it sat on the seam between two peoples who had never entirely trusted one another.
